Online Worlds

Our experience in second life was all pretty good. We (Keith, Vinny and Myself) had a rocky start however. We couldn't log in properly partly because Chris was logging in to the same avatar. When we did log in we flew around for a while then i clicked off fly mode while we were still in mid air. We fell through the world and started descending.... We quickly re-engaged flight mode and we were above ground again. However, we could only fly up and down... Also, we were lying down as if we were dead. When we disengaged flight mode we started descending under the world again... We fell to around -600 on the coordinates until we decided to reload the program. When we logged back in our efforts quickly switched from trying to explore the world, to trying to create more glitches. So mid flight again and flying towards a building i disengaged flight mode once more. This time we got stuck between a virtual rock and the foundation of the building. But, after careful maneuvering we managed to escape. I say this because my experiences playing World of Warcraft were similar. A massive part of the game was exploring forbidden zones that were underdeveloped and performing techniques that would allow characters to climb vertically up walls. I remember spending multiple nights trying to break into the forbidden zone of Mount Hyjal in Kalimdor. We would create massive groups that would work as a team to wall jump and glitch certain terrain to try and reach the land. Once there we explored the open plains. Blizzard had caught on to the amount of people who were exploring this forbidden land and rather than fixing it so people could not. They decided to add road signs with "Blizzard Construction Co." written on them. So the company was aware that people were glitching the game but decided to let people explore because it gave users another use for the game. I better stop now because i have to save some for the essay :p.
